In a project designed to raise additional funds, the Metropolitan Police have launched a range of branded clothing and other ‘useful security accessories’. The move follows the success of the New York Police Department in marketing their ‘NYPD’ goods through Amazon, an initiative which earned sales of over half a million dollars last year.
The Met-branded products include men’s and women’s fashion items, champagne flutes and gardening equipment as well as fluffy handcuffs, crow bars, 50 foot rope ladders and a 45-piece locksmith’s pick set.
Spoofflé had a sneak preview at New Scotland Yard on Tuesday and was able to snap the few photos seen here, before being escorted from the building.
