There were red faces in Tunbridge Wells Borough Council offices this week after 46 new signs appeared across the town’s elegant public parks.
Tunbridge Wells Amenities and Tourism Services yesterday issued this statement: ‘It has been pointed out to us that certain errors may have been made in the printing of our new environmental guidance signage, specifically in the area of a number of full stops in the department’s abbreviated title, which may have been not fully present.’
Well-known local author Marjorie Croker (94) told Spoofflé: ‘I don’t know what all the fuss is about, really. I can’t see a spelling mistake, can you?’
